Vida y obra Nació en el seno de una familia de la aristocracia húngara. Se doctoró en Derecho por la Universidad de Budapest, pero su vocación ya era la literatura. Se inició como periodista en el diario Magyaroszág, del que fue corresponsal en diversas ciudades europeas, como Londres (Reino Unido) y París (Francia), al tiempo que comenzaba a escribir y publicar narraciones cortas que ya llamaron la atención por su lirismo y su humanismo.
