Fruela I (m. Cangas de Onís 768). Rey de Asturias (757-768). Hijo y sucesor de Alfonso I el Católico. Hubo de sofocar las rebeliones de los vascones y de los gallegos, combatió con fortuna a las huestes del emir cordobés Abd al-Rahman I y prosiguió la repoblación de Galicia, iniciada por su padre.
